Not at all. FAFFLY is a no-code platform. You connect your Shopify store with a single OAuth click, import your team via CSV or manually, and FAFFLY handles everything else — discount code creation, customer tagging, gift card issuance, and sync.

FAFFLY connects to Shopify via the official Admin API using OAuth. We request only the permissions we need — customer management, discount codes, and gift cards. No third-party middleware, no webhooks you have to manage. Everything syncs in real time.

Every discount code is permanently tied to a specific Shopify customer record — the employee's company email. At checkout, Shopify verifies the logged-in customer matches the code owner. If someone shares the code, it simply won't work for anyone else.

Yes — if an admin has granted that permission. Admins can set per-department gift card budgets and approve or restrict manager-level issuance. Managers stay productive; admins stay in control.

Yes. FAFFLY supports multi-store setups out of the box. You connect each store separately, and one sync action pushes employee and Friends & Family data to all connected stores simultaneously. Works with Shopify Basic through Shopify Plus.

Our CSV importer accepts First Name, Last Name, Work Email, Department, and Role columns. Any extra columns are safely ignored. We'll validate the file before import and flag any rows with missing required fields.

Admins get a real-time dashboard showing total discounts issued, redemption rates, top-redeemed codes, gift card balances, and department-level breakdowns. You can export any report as CSV for payroll or compliance.
